Angamaly Pravasi Association Kuwait celebrated Onam Fest-2014 at ‘United Indian School Auditorium’; Abbassiya.The programmes started at 11.30 a.m. on arrival of the Chief Guest Mr.Innocent – Cine Artist and Parliament Member of Chalakudy accompanied by Mahabali, with Thalapoli, Chenda Melam, Kummatikali & PuliKalli.
The festival celebrations started with prayer song followed by welcome speech by the General Secretary Mr.Nigi Paily. The function was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Mr.Innocent by lighting the traditional lamp. President Mr.Bacon Joseph presided over the meeting and delivered presidential speech. Felicitation speeches and Onam messages were given by Ambassador of India – Kuwait Mr.Sunil Jain; APAK Advisory Board Chairman Mr.Saju Geo Thachil, Mr.Varghese Puthukulangara(Kerala Pravasi Welfare Board Member) to APAK members and invitees. Vote of thanks was delivered by the Treasurer Mr.Sajeev Paul.
Chief Guest Mr.Innocent Released APAK Onam Souvenir 2014 by handing over a copy to the Mr.Varghese Puthukulangara. During the function the Chief Guest, the Parliament Member of Chalakudy, Mr.Innocent was honoured for his Victory of Parliament Election in Chalakudy by APAK founder member and Ex-Advisory board Chairman Mr.Jacob Pynadath.The Association honoured to Mr.Babu Chakkola – Kerala State Pravasi Malayalees Best Actor Award winner 2013-2014 by Chief Guest and Cine Artist Mr.Innocent and Farewell Memento was given Chief Guest Mr.Innocent to Mr.Gopalakrishna Menon APAK Ex-Advisory Board Member; Managing Committee member and Abbassiya area active member.
The Association honoured the outstanding students, Miss.Pooja Jolly Palatty of class X and Mr.Tharun Rajeev Moonjely of Class 12 for their meritorious performance in the Board Exams. During this function APAK picnic 2014 prizes was given by Chief Guest Mr.Innocent.
The main cultural events were staged by D’Lights Orchestra lead the Ganamela. Apart from the Songs and dances by our talented APAK family members and their children, the program also included group Dances and Kerala traditional Thiruvathira etc. The programmes concluded with the delicious Traditional Onam Sadhya.
